Monash South Africa offers a BCIS Honours degree, which is an exact equivalent of the BITS Honours degree offered at other Monash Uinversity campuses.

The core units are compulsory. In addtion, 3 electives are offered. The Research Project is basically a mini-thesis.

Duration

The Honours degree takes 2 Semester full-time, and 3-4 Semester part-time.

Should you wish to register in Semester 2 of a calendar year, please keep in mind that the Research Methods unit (only offered in Semester 1) is a requirement for your Research Thesis. In practice this means that you cannot commence with your Research Thesis until Semester 1 of the following year. It is thus advisable that you rather commence with your Honours studies in Semsester 1 of any calendar year.
