Community Service Project
In July 2009, I initiated the IEEE Student Teacher And Researcher/Scientist (STAR) program in Phateng Comprehensive School, Mamelodi, Pretoria, South Africa. The goal of the STAR program is to tutor, mentor, encourage and inspire young girls from previously disadvantaged background to choose careers related to Science, Engineering and Technology. The program was funded by the IEEE Women in Engineering Committee in the United States of America and South Africa. The vision for the program is to involve other high schools in previously disadvantaged community in South Africa.
Interests
Apart from teaching, doing research and being involved in community service, I love singing.
